How long do the tours take?
You could spend a month on a South Africa wildlife safari and leave still wanting to see more. To be realistic, though, you can only spare a certain amount of time away from home and work. So, the first thing you need to consider is the total length of time of your vacation. When I call a tour "ten days" or "twelve days," I mean that this is the actual time with me on safari. In other company tours, you might see a "7 Day African Safari," but look at what you get. Day one you leave JFK. Day two you arrive Johannesburg. Day three, you drive to Kruger. Day six can be drive back to Johannesburg and day seven may be arriving back home. I don't know about you, but I call that a 4 day safari at best. The day length of any tour is a travel business gotcha. My 7 day African safari will be six nights and seven days. I'd like to call it a six night tour, but no one would understand.
I want to discuss with you all of your travel time. I will help you plan your entire trip from East Jesus, to Kruger Natioanl Park. Africa travel ain't easy for most people, but I've been doing it for a long time. The most important thing is to be able to adjust to airline change of schedule or a missed flight. This calls for experience. I want to be in on all your plans.

I hope to fit your schedule into one of my tours. It's best if you have some flexibility, and this can often be arranged so many months in advance. The shortest African safaris I've conducted were four days, and the longest adventure safari with one group was 37 days. I suggest that the minimum comprehensive adventure travel tour be around 7 days, 10 is better, more is even more wonderful for you! BUT keep in mind that I can custom tailor any African safari tour to the time you have available.
I will help you plan your safari so that you are not trying to do too much in too little time. Quality is more important than quantity. I will suggest better itineraries to best optimize travel between regions.
